Hey guys,,

So here is what happened recently had an issue where my gpu wont show anything on the screen i fount out that the issue was the mobo Pcie so i got a new one after installation it posted to an error cause the cpu fan header had nothing plugged on it so i disabled monitoring after save and reset in bios i just get a black screen i mean the monitor is on and hdmi is detected but i get a grey screen if u may call it that.

In the error screen before i got every thing detected on bios all rams, cpu, Gpu of course cause it was connected to the monitor so it works.

What could be causing this is it that i need a new windows install and all the hdd and sdd data were deleted for some reason it had a windows 8.1 pro on the ssd but if that the case would not it show anything.

My specs
I5 6500
Maximus VIII heroalpha.
Gtx 1070
16 gb ddr4
H100iv2
650 psu

Solution
So you can get into the bios ... See you switched things in the bios, maybe set it to optimal default values. Also make sure that the ssd is set as bootdrive.

Maybe that by getting another motherboard you have problems with activation and do you really need to reinstall. You got another type and maybe brand motherboard i assume?

Why no fan connected to the cpu fan header? Could even be the back fan (if you use one).
