Question My pc wont turn on After building it myself

Hi i recently have upgraded my pc for the first time with a new motherboard,cpu and tower, however it wont turn on now

I have a 1050ti
16gb ram
Intel i7 6th gen
Msi 170a gaming pro carbon
500w power supply(i dont know the Brand)

I believe the issue is caused by the psu as it only has a 4 pin connector for the cpu power whereas my mother has 8 slots but i want to make sure
