Hello.I have an issue.I've bought a new GPU-GTX 1050.I put it in my pc and it worked fine(I did every single step to install my new GPU).Today i turned my pc off and after about a hour i turn it on again. It turns on for about 3-5 seconds and then off repeatly.I tried putting my old GPU-Quadro FX 1700 and bam it tuned on.PLS help
My pc specs:
Intel core 2 duo E8500
Hewlet Packard 0AA0H motherboard
PSU 475 watts
4 DDR 2 ram

Reset BIOS check compatibility with the gpu and motherboard there should be a reset switch on MOBO to reset bios http://www.wikihow.com/Reset-Your-BIOS

You'll need to scroll down on the website after you click the link down to "METHOD 2" if that don't work try "METHOD 3" Method 1 won't work since you can't even turn it on see if this works

i updated the bios to the lastest version made for my motherboard (last update 2012).Maybe my motherboard is too old for my gpu.I'll try to put bios aways to start with pci-e

I recently built a similar PC to a cousin, with very similar properties, an HP compaq 6000 I think, I changed the cpu because it had the E8400 from factory and I replaced for Q9650, I put 16gb ram ddr3 (chipset Q43 I guess) and msi low profile gtx 1050 ti, everything this works with the serial PSU.
So far everything works properly and with windows 10

i see that your motherboard is newer because mine supports only ddr2 ram.Maybe i should try with new and better PSU(on my PSU everything is written on Chinese). My gpu is GIGABYTE GTX 1050 WINDFORCE 2.

A better source is always guaranteed stability, not bad idea, the GTX 1050 does not consume much energy, with a 600 w is more than enough, and will serve you for possible future expansions. If what you do is play mainly on your pc, look for some inexpensive core 2 quad on ebay as well as minimum 8gb of RAM for a better experience. regards

is it possible that my pc wont start with gtx 1050 because its overkill for my cpu.It says(on the box) that it was tested with intel core i7

I do not think it's overkill for your CPU, remember it's a low performance graphics card
