Hey all,

Just thought I'd post my new build, first time I did a build all on my own... so while everything works... I've ended up with a few questions people might be able to help with... but first the build...

So that's it, I was working on a budget... went for a Seidon 240M to cool the CPU (which is fx8350). what u can't see in the pic is the radiator in the top compartment of the phantom 410, problem is that the fans below the radiator don't really push the hot air far enough, so it kind of just hangs around heating up the top compartment, effecting cooling. should I put the radiator below and fans in the compartment instead to keep the air moving past the compartment? or is it better to have the fans as they are blowing cool air over the radiator instead of on top? there's not enough room for a second set of fans above the radiator unless they are ultra thin ones. The more complicated option is to remove the HDD bays and have the radiator on the front... where there's more room for 4 fans... but thats a lot more work cuz the bottom HDD bay doesn't come out so easily...

Also, I never noticed my RAM running so hot before... its Corsair XMS3... is that a problem? I read RAM can run pretty hot anyway... and its not burn your finger hot..

Solution
Yes, the fans on top of the radiator should be pulling air through the radiator and pushing it out the top of the case. You can put them below the radiator to blow through it, but it won't make a difference. Whichever way you have it make sure the fans blow OUT of the case.

The RAM is fine more than likely. Don't worry about it.

So what ur saying is it would be better to have the fans above the radiator pushing the hot air out the top of the case, rather than below pushing cold air over it. Still don't know what to do about the RAM...
