Hello everyone!
Past year i've been struggling with skill delays in 1 mmo game. Even changed my pc cause of that, still todays day it delays. Its really decent pc, i7 7700k, gtx970 asus strix, 16 gb ripjaws memory, b150 plus asus mb, and samsung evo basic ssd. That game has launcher that measures ping.
Now comes the really weird part. Some days my game does work super fluently, no delays and stuff, and in those days, in that launcher program it says that my ms is 37, going top 38.
Then router resets by itself (factory thing, cannot be changed), and then my launcher says 39-40.
When those numbers are there, i get delay. So ONLY when its 37-38, my game works perfectly. After researching alot alot and really alot, i can say with 100% being sure that its router problem. Nothing else possible.
So my knowledge about these things is just really basic. But seeing this, my logic tells me that obviously every time when router restarts, it connects on some different "channel" or server?
I am using LAN cable btw, not wifi. On telephone with technician from T-Com company, they told me it can be fixed on 1 channel. I was like really???? omg so nice, but then i realized that she was talking about wlan channels... they are so useless and they never listen no matter how i describe my problem in details.
So yea, finally my question is: why my ping changes, with each and ever time my router automatically/manually gets resetted?
Also like i said, ping that appears in launcher is always static. Difference is that if it varies between 37-38, everything in game in perfect. If its 39-40 or 40-41, really bad skill delays. By looking at this presented numbers, you would probably say difference is almost 0, but unfortunately in my case, difference of even 1 number is insane. I dont get it why. And its always 1 of these 3 combinations that i shown here now.
My temporary solution to this is almost driving me crazy. So if i see in launcher 40-41, i go unplug and plug back my router. After that it changes to 38-39. Then i restart again, and once again 40-41. And so on, until i dont see in that launcher 37-38. Today for example, i could not reach 37 anymore. Best i could do was 38-39. Stubborn as i am, i kept resetting and resetting but no way to get my magic number anymore.
