Hi Guys

I just pieced together my latest piece of crap

Intel Core 2 Duo E4400
Asus P5b Mobo
3G Ram
Nvidia geforce 9800 gt

Now i know this think is meant to be used as a door stop but i was very interested in the new game coming out Hawken. Now i am more of a console gamer and didn't like puting up with upgrading my pc every month. I want to give this game Hawken a shot to see if i would get it or not, so i wanted to know would runing my computer on Linux be more beneficial on game performance than runing it on 7

unfortunately you won't get playable framerates on that 9800; i play hawken myself - on DX9 and low settings, on a 7750 and i get "reasonable" fps @ 1920x1080. it's almost mandatory (since this is a fps) that you play at your screen's native resolution as this game has difficult visiblity and any sort of visual distortion would make it impossible to aim.
so, since i have a 6600 @ 3.2, very near what you have, if you get yourself the same card then i can tell you 100% sure you will be able to play it fine.

(well, if you have a smaller resolution, you might get decent framerates.. idk)
