(Argument based on your 2nd build)

If you want the best value for your money:

Take a high-end CPU air cooler over a liquid one, they perform much better for the money and are less hassle.

You've selected the i5-6600k and H100i to overclock, but only Z170 motherboards officially support overclocking. H170 is locked so that needs change.

4x4 has no improvement in speed over 2x8. In fact, 4x4 will work in dual lanes. What does that mean? It will work like 2x8 memory. So It's best to take less modules and save money and go for 2x8GB memory.

Deepcool Kendomen isn't bad. However this build should do with a more solid and modern one.

Power supply is bang average. G1/B1 series from EVGA aren't recommended. Take B2/G2/GS/P2 but leave the rest alone. GQ isn't bad either though.

If I was u I will bought the first one. Lower budget same performance. U got a good build. I5 6th generations processors and got 16gb good frequencies for best gaming performance and also a good msi gpu which performs best in 4k resolutions too. U are good to go. I prefer the first one
Best regards khd

Can I change the GPU to the MSI version as I want a red and black setup or should I stick with the ASUS and maybe paint it later? Or will it not matter considering the yellow accents will be not seen as the backplate is on top.

Those aren't yellow accents, those are RGB lights and you can make them red. The Strix is basically red/black too.

My build suggestion, very similar to above, but features an additional 1TB of space, a significantly faster SSD, a better mobo and a more realistic cooler.
The R1 is overkill, the H7 will keep temps cool even with a high OC.

Oh, okay. Thank you. Is the STRIX better than the MSI?

Both the Strix and MSI Gaming are really good. Maybe the MSI Gaming overclocks just a bit better.

However, the Strix is ~50 dollars cheaper right now (If you actually live in the US). I would buy the Asus STRIX asap before it goes back to normal price.

Just one more thing. Can I change the case to the KENDOMEN because i'm still a bit acient and buy my games from game stores on DVD-ROM. The Phanteks doesn't have one as far as I know but if you're able to find a mordern PC case with 5.25" external drive ports.

What's the point of getting the STRIX version if the MSI is better when it's cheaper?

The Pro M is also a good case, but I recommend my build overall. ;)
The Strix cools better, but EVGA has a significantly better support team and go out of their way to help you as much as they can.
Gives you peace of mind.
Either is good though. :)
Not sure the MSI is cheaper, where did you find this?

It's cheaper in Australia...

Not sure on peoples insistence of changing the case model from your choice as the kendomen (although slightly plasticky) is a good case with excellent preinstalled cooling.

So all I've done is take one of those builds above , swapped to the kendomen & the gammaxx 400 (which on a price to performance ratio is impossible to beat) & it saves close to $100

I'll probably stick with the other cooler as it fits the theme of red and black. The CPU fan glows blue which doesn't match the theme.

Ah, i see. Yeah as I said earlier, definitely the Strix. It's no debate. There isn't 60 dollars worth of difference between the two, not even 10 dollars. They're equally quality.

Hi, I made an updated list. Please re-review it please. https://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/ProKeX/saved/#view=fpQD3C

What on earth is that....
1. Don't get an AIO with an i5, money better spent elsewhere.
2. Deathstalker Chroma is very poorly priced, you can get a mechanical keyboard for that price.
3. You don't NEED a second monitor, what are your purposes for this?
4. Are we doing a full setup or a build only? There are many improvements I could make to that build AND the planned setup, give me a proper full budget.
