my printer is hp lajer jet p1007 black and white printer. but when i am tring to install it on windows 7 32 bit it says to plug in the usb cable. but inspite of give the cable to the usb port then also it says same thing please help me what should i have to do?

You also have to turn the printer on after connecting the USB cable to the computer.
