Like the title says my controller keeps disconnecting and i have no idea why. after it dcs the only way to get it back is by going to devices and printers, uninstalling the device and then unplugging and plugging it back in again as well as restarting DS4Windows. I only started using this program because i thought that it may help stop the dc-ing but it hasnt made a difference.

Any ideas as to what may be causing this?

Solution
You need to install divers using the latest version of ds4 Windows.
The one you get from the website from googling is the original and old version.

It is being updated and maintained by ryochan7 on this GitHub

Be sure to just completely delete the old folder for ds4windows so that you don't get them mixed up at some point.

On top of this, try using a different USB port.
Don't use passthrough ports (like ones found on monitors and keyboards)

And try using a different cable if need be

Hey, just wanted to get back. Everything seems to be working fine, saying that i think the cable i'm using may be struggling to stay connected if it moves a little. The slightest movement makes it dc, but now when it does it comes straight back after about a second which is good.

Thanks again for the advice!
