My PSU and a 780ti

Hello,

I've ordered a 780ti superclocked, and I've got a PSU, an Alpine 700w and I've had it for about 3 years, but there's been no problems with it. Will this be adequate to run the 780ti to its full potential?

In terms of wattage you are covered. Quality of this Alpine 700w needs to be checked.

Sorry this PSU won't be good for your 780Ti. 780Ti requires 42Amps on +12v rail. This PSU has 34amps on its single +12v rail. Pl change the PSU immediately.

Better get Seasonic/XFX/EVGA/ Corsair HX/TX series PSU

Agreed with Alpine quality.

Do you really want to trust your $600+ GPU to a cheap crappy psu? Go for Seasonic/xfx/antec/corsair (not cx serires)/ or rosewill hive or capstone psu.

+1, it's not all about wattage, it's mostly about how many amps can be provided safely on the rail.

XFX and Seasonic should suit that nice expensive card of yours 😉

Alpine power supplies are junk , you need a high quality supply to run a nice card.
