My radiator has only 8 m3 30mm screws others are 35mm

If i screw with 35mm it doesnt attach the rad correctly 30mm fitted perfectly but i had only 8 of them. What can i do to attach all the fans correctly (almost punctuated my rad)

cut 5mm off the 35mm screws?

or use 2 screws and 3 screws on the fans instead of 4--use opposite corners if using 2 screws

or buy more of the proper screws

But what did i do wrong that i heard a crack when i put the 35mm screw. Can it really penetrate the rad? Btw in order to mount the rad to the case i usd those little 0.5mm screws?

depends on your rad they arent all the same

some you cant puncture if the screws too long--they have a metal tab that stops the screw

that could possibly make the crack you heard

My rad is alphacool xt45 ehich is considered a pretty high quality rad. I tested it with some water and it didnt leak . 1 more question: Do i mount the radiator to the case with the little ,5.mm screws?

some rads mount then you attach the fans

some the screw goes right through the fan and into the rad--ie if you have your rad inside the case and the fans above/outside/under a cover/grille

the amount of screw holes on the rad should kind of make it self explanatory if its one long screw through the fan into the rad or not

I dont get it, every single alphacool rad has 12 m3 30mm screws where are my 4 >)
