Hi,

I think I have a faulty Samsung 980 pro 1TB with a heatsink version (5B2QGXA7). I'm guessing this started when I'm trying to recover my dying HDD and used HDD Raw Copy Tool to copy it to my new SSD then my computer got BSOD, and after that my SSD become unrecognized and sometimes it will, but become ready only. I tried fixing it with Samsung Magician Secure Erase, and I got it back but there's an instance where I properly shut down my computer and then turn it on when I need to use my pc, the SSD will not be detected but it is present in BIOS. I need to restart it again to make me able to use it. I'm encountering a problem also when Installing big files, it will have an error that the disk/file is not existing, but I can still access the SSD.

This screenshot is from after I install a game to my SSD and got an error. It's present in Samsung magician and Disk Management but not in DiskInfo. I'm trying to scan it after that, but it gets an error(screenshot in the link also)

Is my SSD already dying? Is my SSD can still be fixed? I just bought it last year in December.

If you run the Magician update function does it show that the firmware is up to date? There was a patch released for 980 drives just a few weeks ago:

This is due to a bug Samsung acknowledged a couple weeks ago. They released a firmware update via Magician to fix it, but obviously it is too late for you. I would get in contact with Samsung to see what they can do, as it is their fault in the first place.
