Hello there,

So I'm facing this problem with my PC after I updated my GPU, I have 2 monitors (Dell E2313H and Samsung c27f390fhm) both are connected to 980ti GPU, it all worked fine for almost 3 years now, but yesterday I updated my GPU to the latest update (551.76) and suddenly after the update my Samsung monitor turned into a generic display with a very low resolution, I thought it was the update so I went to Safe mode and I used DDU + installed the older update, but nothing has changed.
I also tried even older versions but the same situation, and through these processes I noticed that when I'm in safe mode, the monitor resolution changes to 1920x1080 (which is the native resolution for this monitor) and when go back to the windows the resolution stays the same but the dell monitor doesn't seem to work until the windows starts to install the main driver for Nvidia (not the actual driver, only the control panel and other necessary drivers) then voila, everything goes like it was (low resolution on Samsung and dell works fine), but there is a twist here, if I don't download the GPU driver from nvidia Geforce or their website, now I can change the samsung resolution to 1920x1080 easily and all looks fine like there was nothing wrong, but bear in mind now my GPU doesn't have a driver and also my Samsung monitor is recognized as (Generic monitor).

I tried to check if there was a software update or driver for this monitor, it doesn't seem to have any, I contacted Samsung but they seem very amateurs when it come to solving technical issues online, I also tried other softwares such as driver booster (funny how I ended up using this software) it somehow updated the driver to an Acer model lol xDDDD.

idk what other solutions I can try but this issue is really annoying, I can use my pc with no issues now because I'm only using it now for browsing through the internet without the driver installed, but once I dare to install any driver the pc acts funny and goes back to the same issue. :))))

edit 1: I don't have IGPU or other GPU to test this on
