Question My Samsung SyncMaster S20A310X PLUS monitor won't show visuals after connecting to PS5

Hi everyone,

I have a Samsung SyncMaster S20A310X PLUS monitor that was working fine with my PC via a DVI connection. Recently, I connected it to a PS5 using an HDMI to DVI adapter. After switching it back to my PC, the monitor no longer displays visuals properly.

Here’s what happens:

When I switch input sources (or turn it on), it briefly shows an image for about a second, then goes blank.

The on-screen menu (OSD) doesn’t show up at all, even when pressing the menu button.

The PC works fine with a different monitor, so the issue is definitely with the Samsung.

I’ve tried power cycling, disconnecting it overnight, and switching cables/ports, but no change.

I also tried booting the PC in low resolution mode—still nothing.

Is it possible the monitor was damaged by the PS5 signal? Could the HDMI to DVI adapter have caused this? Is there any way to reset or revive it, or is it likely done for?

Thanks in advance for any help!
