My Seagate Desktop Drive, model SRD00F2 is not working. I changed the power cord and it still doesn't power on.

I only power up my hard drive when I'm using it; there is no power switch - just plug it in and it is supposed to run! I have changed out the power cord thinking there may be a short in the original. I have also used several different USB cords, plugging it in to different ports. I tried it on both my PC and laptop...

Solution
You should be able to take HDD out of the enclosure and put it in another one or use it as internal on desktop computer. HDD is most expensive part in there.
