My SSHD ST1000DX001 showing end to end error detection in HD Tune (See Image below) for last few months...
Earlier it was showing DATA as 10 now it is 12 ... checked it for bad sectors using chkdsk /f /r command, checked seatools long and short generic tests but it is passing all the tests...
ALso HD Tune is advising me to replace the drive immediately... (See below Image)....
Please advise me what should I do?????

Despite of this error this drive is working seamlessly ...

Hi

Was the sea tools the dos bootable disk or the windows version?
I would put the disk in another working PC and run the seagate windows diagnostics

Your retailer or seagate is unlikely to accept test results from non seagate diagnostics tests
The dos bootable diagnostics are fairly old and may not deal with sshd drives correctly
See what seagate recommends for testing your drive

Checked with dos version 4 months back and recently with Seatools for Windows (both long and short generic) but both tests passed with not a single error... I always keep the latest backup of this drive with me in case of sudden failure ....
Forgot to tell, I also ran HDD Regenerator in dos mode to find and repair bad sector but thats to didnt find any... interesting that all the hdd tools like speedfan data life guard... etc show same smart data but only hd tune is showing error and suggesting me to replace it...

Sorry for late response (didnt get response notification)....
Actually, all the hdd testing softwares passed the test (with no bad sectors) .... but nobdy clarified that why "End To End Error Detection" showing value 88 ... all my other Seagate Disks have value of 100 ... What's that means?
Also Hard Disk Sentinel is NOT Showing "Always Passing" on this smart parameter (See below image)

Actually I have just 6-7 months for my warranty to expire.... but I fear that if I send it for RMA, they may return it back to me as "No Problem Found" ....

Wow... I was searching on End to End error detection on my very old SSHD ST1000DX001 and came across this thread which was opened by me myself.... username @anupam_luv was my old TH username which i couldnt recover...

Now I upgraded my PC to i9 9900k ... so I checked smart status of all hdds using hdd tune pro but The status of this SSHD is still the same , even after 4 years.....

It showing same End to End error detection with exact same data as shown in first post.... Is there anything to worry?

This SMART attribute seems strange to me. What it appears to be saying is that there was a data integrity problem in the data path that includes the PCB's SDRAM buffer. The fact that the normalised value only needs to drop by 1 point before a failure is recorded (from 100 to 99), and the fact that each point corresponds to 1 raw error, would suggest that this is a super critical error. However, the fact that the error was detected by the drive would imply that the drive should have corrected it with a subsequent retry.
