My PC knowledge of building is a 7/10.
Knowledge on the differences between processors or graphics cards and what fits together... 4/10.
Thread title as the current PC I thought would be the last I build. Clearly not :p

Here's the details below:

Approximate Purchase Date: This week.

Budget Range: £700 / $900 (but lower if possible)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Browsing Internet / Working / Listening to music / Gaming.

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade:

CPU: I thought an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 would be okay? Not sure how this compares with my current Intel i5 I already have though?

Power Supply: Need help choosing one.

Motherboard: Thinking a Gigabyte B450M DS3H as it also comes with an offer of £30 worth of Steam codes, which I'd happily use for some game addons I've been putting off as I didn't want to spend any money on them. Win-win situation here.

Graphics Card: Need help choosing one.
I saw a Asus DUAL-GTX1060-O3G NVIDIA GeForce and MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GAMING but don't really understand the difference and I don't mind spending a bit more if the performance will be noticeable.

Case: I thought about this one. However I don't want any fancy lights dancing around if it comes with a window. Quiet is the priority. I like the idea of the cube sorts of cases or something a little different but if this will contribute to heat, I'd happily go back to a normal tower.

Hoping to transfer over my current RAM if it'll work okay?

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Any UK website.

Location: UK

Parts Preferences: None

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe? I don't really know what this is.

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments / Why Upgrading:

My current setup is a Shuttle SZ68R5 with an AMD Radeon R9 200 Series. Here's the full specs:

It runs fine but recent games like Planet Coaster and Two Point Hospital have made it run hot. So hot the hard drives were reporting 50°C the other day - not great! Not sure if this is because it's small inside so less air flow or I just need a more powerful computer.

I didn't really think I'd need a new PC so don't have much of a budget but after thinking about it last night, this PC has was built in 2013, which doesn't seem long but it might be long enough in gaming terms.

I don't think I'm going to be running the latest first person shooter but as more modern games come out, they need more processing power.

I also probably won't be upgrading things in the future. I think the last two full tower PCs I built I changed maybe the graphics card during their lives.

Thanks for any pointers!

That game max silent isnt a bad case but when you can get a fractal design case with good preinstalled cooling for a similar price (which have the best build quality out there imo) it would be nonsensical to go for the fairly budget quality game max you listed.

The rx 580 is hands down better than a 1050ti or 1060 3gb by a fair stretch.
