Question My Skype won't play notification sounds

I have no other issues with sound on my computer. Videos, games, etc all work just fine, even Outlook notification sounds work. But Skype notifications will not play. When I go into the sound settings and try to test the notification sound it won't play there either. They've worked in the past but suddenly last week stopped working.

Which Skype version are you using? What OS?

go to skype settings and check sounds and notifications tab, and check whether it is muted or the sound is lower, also check your pc settings for notifications sounds.

I had this same problem for so long that I actually forgot I had it. I had to uninstall and reinstall Skype for a different issue, and suddenly I get notifications and sounds and everything. So maybe try that as well.
