So I use a program called HW monitor to look at my temps and keep an eye on them but I noticed my SSD temps and my hard drive temps do not change I was wondering what the problem could be as both my hard drives are plugged straight into the power supply and the motherboard however the SSD is powered using a molex adaptor as my SSD is hidden in the back of my case with all my cables and I was wondering if this is bad for the SSD does it need to be cooled and help would be great thanks

AS said...drive temps don't really change that much.

Try a different application like Speccy.
But it doesn't look like anything to worry about.

Drive temps don't change all that much.
As a test, I'm currently copying a 20GB file from an SSD to my NAS.
The drive temp changed 1 degree. 39C to 40C.

So what are your temps?

My SSD temps are 40 degrees Celsius and my hard drive temps are both at 27 degrees but my point is they never ever change it always says 40 degrees so I'm scared it isn't actually reading the temperature and I have the SSD down the side of my case where all my cables are is this bad for the SSD
