As the title says my SSD(c:) is filling up by itself super fast... And when its full, i can still use the pc and such but when i restart the pc it says "Preparing windows Dont turn off PC" indefinitely. And to fix this i have to go into bios and format my SSD. After i format it it works for a while but now it started to fill up again. I have anti virus and anti malware programs.

heres a gif on how fast it fills up after it started to fill up:

Thanks for help! :)

Is there only 1 account on the PC? Sounds as if a second user is downloading something or Windows is set to backup incorrectly. People back-up Windows to another drive(usually external).

I can use Windirstat and see everything color-coded. I can then click on something of interest and visit that path so I can see the actual folder or file. After it's open the image is static and won't update until it is restarted or the user click the refresh icon.

With Everything I can see file creation in real time. This means that if something is writing to the disk Everything will show me. It searches Windows for everything, only documents(90GB doc?????? :O), pics, video etc. If I choose to search everything and leave it alone I can see what Windows is doing

. That would show me in real time what's happening behind the curtain. More importantly it will show you what's being written. You can then right click the object's name and click on Open path.

So then log into each account, and run WinDirStat.
Compare the two outputs.

Disk Management shows 99% full
Your current WinDirStat shows about 1/2 full.

I did a factory reset, so windows 10 should be installed? And the windows 10 logo appears? If I did something wrong how can I install windows 10 again? I got windows 10 when it was free, so I have to buy a new one?..

No, you don't have to buy a new one.
From a different, working PC, create a Win 10 USB install.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Then, follow the link I provided above for a FULL OS install.

Ty will try

So I had the USB ready with windows 10. And when I started my pc to install a new windows 10, everything was back to normal? I now have 60GB on my SSD again, and everything is the way it was before it started to fill up. But soon it will start to fill up again

So you didn't do a reinstall?
And the second phantom account simply disappeared?
And now you have that 60GB free?

Did not reinstall
Second phantom is still there
i have 70gb free xd

I would do what others suggested - complete wipe. When you get the opportunity to configure the hard drive, click Advanced and delete all partitions on that SSD. Then select the unpartitioned drive to install Windows 10 and Windows will take care of setting up the drive. I wouldn't trust anything at this point and would completely wipe and start over. That's the only way you know you've fixed this permanently.

Hey all! I have been having the same problem and just realized that I have one drive installed on my computer and set up to sync. So, needless to say, all of the files and folders I added elsewhere were subsequently downloaded to my computer and sucking up all of my disk space. I hope this helps!
