Hi All,

I have an SSD in my computer installed internally. I also have a mount on the top of the computer where I can put my HDD. When I plug in my HDD I can boot into it, and I can view files from my SSD via computer from my HDD. If I am not transferring any files between the the HDD & SSD, is it possible that my files on the HDD are recoverable on the SSD? (Without Transferring files between the two drives)

Thanks for reading,

Milo

Not unless all of the files are copied on both drives. When you're viewing files, you're not viewing them "from" either of the drives, you're viewing them from your system. Unless you manually back-up files from one drive to the other, or have your Windows automatically backing up one drive on the other, you won't be able to recover them if one drive fails.
