I got the Titan X 2 weeks ago....well i didnt have much time in hand to test it out but well the thing is after these few days of gaming and stuff i recently noticed my Titan X is goin hot! above 80C

in GTA 5,Witcher 3,Skryrim....all games are running fine but the temp is too high...I live in india thats one thing i should point out, my country's ideal is 35 to 40C.

Now in Nvidia Website the officials say Titan X maximum High temp taken is 95C....well even tho its said that i am scared let alone the warranty.
With that said i am using Nvdia GPU accleration on Videos it seems Titan X is running hotter at 60C in just 2% usage on simple GPU acclerated Videos....This is the first time i am using a titan so this thread might be kinda like a noob.
(I used Nvidia GT240,GTX 560Ti and GT730, these card never ran this hot)

also 2 things to report Nvidia Geforce 353.30 WHQL often freezed my PC at times and also i herd people say same.....so is this driver the culprit??

Side notes: I use Vsync since both my monitors are a 2560x1080 and 1600x900 with 60Hz.

Constant heat is not the problem, it's hot/cold cycling that kills components. Nvidia's thermal throttling is designed to keep the heat at a constant not a low.

i am guessing this is one of the truth since my ideal temp in room is 38 to 43....could be one part of the heating ......but i do belive there are some bugs too with the Nvidia driver since video accleration is taking heat toll too....under just 2% usage a GPU cant just heat to 63C+ in 3min....it has to relate to a driver issue.

ok i got the lesson now....so in everytime i use a program i should keep in mind my gpu never crossed 80C yes? i do know iray render gonna suck the life of the card but despite that then i would try to keep a normal static temperature then, under 80C.

Welcome to india a land of unforgettable heat even during the rainy season....well i am not gonna pry on anymore since my apartment ain't got the AC hooked.....
Thanks anyways Msi aftervurner solved half the problem i am dealing with tho.
