Gigabyte is the absolute worse you can buy. Stay away from their tech support at all costs. They no speakey engrish and a few of them do not know what they are doing. There mobo controllers do not play with samsung ssd`s and there video cards are junk. Beware:no:

Edit - 3-9-16:

All issues have been resolved and Gigabyte has been exonerated from all condemnation. Gigabyte has done everything possible to help me resolve my issues and then some, so I would like to retract all the negative comments I have said toward their tech support.

(Since this is a rant thread and I need 1 post to enable pm...) Few years ago I had issues with the bios backup 'feature' being enabled by default on multiple GA motherboards and corrupting linux raid arrays without a gpt. Since then I have simply stayed away from gigabyte motherboards.Mind you gigabyte eventually released a bios update that fixed those issues but still......

Makes good sense to me....Maybe call it for what it really is?.....Bad luck. I did speak to Samsung engineering and gigabyte engineers btw.The problem with the gigabyte video cards turned to be nvidia drivers and the motherboards were bad capacitors and one bad cup socket. The board with bad capacitors was replaced and died again one year later. The board with a bad cpu socket was replaced and only after arguing non stop with tech services. I finally got it replaced and the new cpu socket had bent pins so when I received the board back it drove me nuts with "watchdog timer " errors for months until I figured it out. When gigabyte said they replaced the board they only replaced the socket and damaged it during repair. So call it what you want .....I still had a terrible time with a product and I felt the need to vent my frustrations end of story. Btw I never had these issues with asus or msi products . The only reason I went with gigabyte was because of a good deal I got through a local vendor.

Oh I almost forgot about the Gigabyte GTX 680 soc video cards I purchased for 1200.00 dollars us. The cards were so big (3 slots)that in SLI they were so heavy that they tore the PCIE socket out of the motherboard. That was the first round with gigabyte. Because the damage wasn't covered under warranty I had to eat the cost of a 300.00 mobo. I guess gigabyte had so many overheating issues and other complaints that the card was discontinued after a few months.....Gigayte had me return the cards without question and exchanged them for 2 GTX 770's. For months after the exchange the SLI Mode would quit working after a driver update. After consulting Nvidia level 2 techs there engineering dept said they have a driver issue with Windows ten and 8.1 that causes the issue. After waiting for weeks I finally got a fix from nvidia. Read the forums I'm not the only one with this issue. So if you cannot accept the fact that some people have bad luck with certain products and others don't maybe you should seek some professional help. I have been upfront with you and answered your questions but it seems to me that you are incenuating that this problem is my fault like I'm some innept inexperienced goof ball . As I stated before this is a rant because I feel I deserve it after the crap I've been through. I do admit that gigabyte wasn't 100% at fault for everything but about 90% would accurately depict my case in point.

I've only used them twice (two motherboards) but they seem to be a good solid Motherboard manufacturer and I've heard good things about the 980 Windforce, also they have the best system for front panel connectors that I've used. Personally I'd stick with based on my experiences so just take what these guys are saying with a grain of salt...
