My Transcend Hard disk is Super slow!

Hello. i have a Transcend StoreJet 500GB Hard drive (Orange one) and when i plug it into PC it does work and it does open and show what is in it. but when i copy a file or paste a file to it. it suddenly crashed or gets sooo slow that you have to open task manager to close it. also when opening folders that are in the HDD. they Do open but after few mins. yes you read that correct. few MINUTES. Any solution?

Sometimes, a bad cable could cause the issue you are facing. So, I would advise you to start the troubleshooting process with just changing the USB cable.
If the issue persists though, you may need to recover them with some kind of recovery software: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-1644496/lost-data-recovery.html
If this doesn't work and the HDD becomes unresponsive, I guess you can run windows error check: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2641432 Just choose the second option: "scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors".

After you retrieve your data, you can just format the drive and see whether it will work fine.

No its silent. its just sooo slow that it takes minutes to open 1 folder!

I know the problem now. its bad sectors. the only problem is. THERE IS MORE THAN MILLION BAD SECTORS!
Checked with AOMEI Partition assistant

Well, try to fix the HDD with Check disk or a third party software and back up all your data. Then you can throw the disk through the window.
