My Turtle Beach Headset Has Sound But No one can Hear me When I try to Talk

Hello, I need help My headset I finally got to work and hear the game through but whenever I try to talk to people they can't Hear me please help me.

When you plugged it into the microphone jack, did you get any pop-up messages about configuration? If so, click on that and it should bring you to tests and settings.

If you're using Windows, check Control Panel (in some version the option you want will be called Sound) and ensure everything is recognized, enabled, and using up-to-date drivers. You can increase sensitivity on your mic.

In some programs it's very easy to mute yourself, so be sure you're not muted, in the program or in the OS. Make sure the microphone line is fully in the mic jack. It can be as simple a problem as that.

I have windos 7 not sure if that means anything but all my sound devices are up to date but what isn't recognized is the Turtle Beach Headset. I have the Turtle Beach X12 Headset and whenever I disconnect and reconnect it's USB it never shows any pop-up.

USB is the only connection? No 1/8" audio cables? This diagram suggests that you need to plug 3 things into your computer or other device.
