[SOLVED] My UPS suddenly shut down

I just bought a new UPS and it's only been two days of using it. Yesterday I had no problem, but today, while I was doing my homework, it suddenly shut down. Why so?

Sometimes a UPS will shut down when it's overloaded.

That PSU can draw up to 775 watts.

I'm not finding that specific model for the UPS.
What is the exact model number?

Yup thats the exact same UPS I have right now

I'd look in the manual for the UPS...and see what it's supposed to do when you draw too much from it. I suspect it might shut down.

I suspect this could be happening....because as I said....the PSU can draw up to 775 watts.....because a 620 watt PSU that is 80% efficient can draw 775 watts.

Load is always going to fluctuate the power draw. Always make sure your PSU and UPS can handle spikes.

Great question.

I think it would have to be a pretty heavy load to trip it.

If the UPS trips at 600 watts....the power supply would have to output 480 watts (80% efficient) to draw 600 watts from the UPS (of course this is all theoretical).
