After reapplying thermal paste, I first noticed after turning on my pc that a white lined screen appeared. I restarted my pc, and started to play cod MW, the white lined never appeared again. Everything seemed perfectly fine, even had better FPS than before. But now letting my pc rest for 20 mins on windows, my gpu temps dont seem to go down past 40 C. I find this weird because other people with vega 64 have a temp between 20-35 C on idle. I'm very worried that I might eventually overheat the gpu core and hbm causing severe damage. Please let me know what you guys think!
I have an gigabyte radeon rx vega 64 8gb OC. Thermal paste I used is https://www.bestbuy.com/site/cooler...XU-5u-oIuOU24AXZi1hoC0xMQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
And here are my current temp levels from gpu-z

Oh and forgot to mention all of my drives are up to date including the bios.

How are your load temps.

Do you have a reference cooler (single centrifugal fan) or a card with dual/ triple axial fans?
Everything is absolutely amazing. I set a fan curve so now my GPU cools to around 27 C in a minute give or take. When its on 100% it takes seconds. I even benchmarked it, got 92nd place in better performance than anyone else who has that specific card. I did overclock it and I achieved exactly what I wanted. And it worked perfectly! Even outperformed most 2070’s and was up to par with most 2070 super cards.

And that’s after I finished a heavy loaded game. So literally all I needed to do was set a fan curve. I would make it 100% but that speed is super annoying.
