I love unions too, when needed or useful, for various reasons.
Private sector unions are mostly OK, tho many a time, they overstep their usefulness
Public unions?
Wheres the need?
If the government didnt pay their employees enough, those jobs wouldnt be filled, and then the politicians would catch hell
So, again, no need, just pay them fairly.

Some people, alot actually, tho theyre in unions, dont want a democrat in office many times, but they have no choice as to where a portion of their union dues go, which is hugely disproportionate to the dems, and where its been tried to have control over your personal contributions to a given candidate, thru union dues, its been fought by, you guessed it, the democrats.
This is seperatist in nature, and shouldnt be lawful in my mind.
The VP only showed the stranglehold he and the dems have and want from the unions

What I really dont like is how these "sides" have aligned, as if they cant cross ideas at any given time
Going in the "this party does this, while this party does that" direction only increases greed, seperation and being stuck with the proverbial "they were the least of all evils, thats why I voted for them" scenario

I think I am a pretty right wing Labor man ... I do believe the working classes reserve the right to negotiate collectively with their employer.

I do agree Unions should be transparent in the finances and dealings ... since it it the people's money.

Whats funny now tho is, its so tempered down, and the unions gain so much, while its still the workers who do all the unions lifting.
In other words, the unions are doing to the workers much like the employer would possibly do, if not for the unions.

But its OK to tax the rich in a grossly unbalanced way, since turning on the rich isnt so bad, but not the other classes?

^^ What you fail to mention is the person that got the 80 pizzas took out a risky bank loan, designed and built the factory, and hired all the workers to make those pizzas.

THAT'S CAPITALISM! You take the risk, you get the reward.

May I remind you that the analogy was that EVERYONE too out risks and one got lucky, but instead of employing one other, they keep their pizza, not because the deserve it, but because they feel entitled not to feed their peers.
