My X Craft Z8000 Mouse Will Not Scroll In Certain Situations

I've recently bought an X Craft Z8000 mouse for my new rig.

To my dismay, the mouse seems to only scroll in specific applications such as Google Chrome and File Explorer. Nearly anywhere else, the scroll function doesn't work, even in device manager, not to mention every game I play such as League of Legends and even Hearts of Iron III.

I've spent hours looking for information on this issue, uninstalling my mouse drivers and plugging it in different USB ports until finally I did a troubleshoot in Devices and Printers.

Microsoft told me that my mouse would not work in a USB 3.0 port but I don't have any ports that are less that 3.0, in fact I have a 3.1 port!

I hope that someone would be able to provide a solution to this issue.

If you're system has nothing less than USB3.0 ports why not just get a USB2.0 breakout cable and have your mouse run off one of those ports. I'm sure you have at least one block of USB2.0 front panel headers unpopulated...?

You can get away by purchasing this breakaway cable and hooking it up to your motherboard's internal header though we'd also need to know your full systems specs to make sure your motherboard/chipset and your case can handle the adage(pun intended).
