Mysterious Computer Crash Issue

I'm going to bump this again, because I found out 2 different things...
I am currently using 2 different kinds of RAM, both with different voltages. Could this cause it?

A friend of mine told me to double check that it was the CPU fan or the GPU fan... it turns out, it was the GPU fan going to max...

Thanks BadTrip
I'll give that a shot too, but I start to suspect a video card issue, usually, nothing happens when I am doing something cpu intensive...
Usually, it crashes when i am watching a movie, playing a game... actually, i tried playing crysis (the 2nd one) and i got this really really wierd lighting issue, where the lighting was SUPER bright, and the trees in the distance would flicker a magenta, red color.

I submitted a warranty request on the VisionTek website... They apparently, are on vacation until tomorrow... so they might respond to me after a few more days... 🙁

Thanks
I'll update otherwise...

I tried to boot up my system it didn't get to the windows log in screen... so im going to leave it alone for awhile...

Hey aznbigk :)
Had the same problem, its the stupidest problem you can have.
You run a game, play for 5-10 mins, PC Monitor Shuts Off but PC is still running under full load, then you must force Shut Down.
After that you can't even play a video file in Full Screen and in the end It won't even let you see the Login Screen, LOL
And more to that, you can't even reinstall an OS, because everytime it gets to a point where you have to configure, the monitor shuts off again and you have to force shut down...

Well your problem is the graphic card :) There you go. Go to your manufactuer with your guarante list and have it replaced.
If you have some other PC in your house get that Graphic Card and put it on your PC see if it starts just to be sure it's the graphic card. It's the graphic card 90% tho, because the graphic card actualy shuts off and it doesn't give signal to the Monitor.

Hope this helped :)

PS: BTW i sticked with this problem for almost 2 years, i suspected the graphic card from the first moment but the problem didn't bother me untill it got to the moment when i couldn't get to the Logon Screen.

Yea help as many people as you can man, i see 100s of people having the same problem and other guys tell them its the PSU and Mobo and RAM, and stay around with the problem for too long...

I believe the problem is because of a missbuilt serries by the brand you bought from. Every now and then a brand makes a mistake in some VGA serries so people have this problem...
The graphic card is overheating, but no cooling will help, it's like Internal bleeding(overheating) lol.
So you have to replace..
Replacing it fixed my problem :)

Cheers

Well, I was gonna say test the memory with MemTest86, but the problem was found to be your GPU eh?

Just like PSU's, only buy GPUs from big mainstream brand, like sapphire or XFX.

Actually, Visiontek is rated pretty high on Newegg... I didn't think it was going to be a bad choice... someone already told me about running memtest86... i do admit that i am running 2 different ram modules right now... and one is .1V higher than the other... but i don't think it really had much of an effect...

Nah man, don't waste your time like that, i wasted alot of my time testing other stuff except GPU...
And XFX have made a mistake in the 4890 serries, but i think now they've fixed it. If you want a brand go get EVGA :)
Hope you have a guarantee on that 4870 :)

NEVER mix and match RAM and NEVER trust Newegg reviews.
