Mysterious "ghost" floppy drive

In the "My Computer" list of Drives it shows 2 Flop drives, "A" and "B". In reality there's only 1, an external USB Flop drive that came with the PC. Commands on FlopDrive 'A' activate everything just fine, but the one listed as FlopDrive 'B' does nothing. Its properties say it's RAW and that it's working fine. What should I do? Delete it??

Thank you for any help.

"Thanks Hellfire13 for your suggestion. But now I'm in a quandary as to what to do.

1 - I don't have the skill to know if it's virtual.
2 - If I delete it & deleting it screws things up I will be worse off.
3 - I have a ton of disks from former PC's and use the drive frequently, so I do need it.

I guess I need additional help. It needs to be very clear. Don't assume I'm an expert like most of you."

"Sorry Hellfire my PC has been down. It comes out of standby and says SATA drive 0 and 1 don't exist, and no bootable disk in Floppy drive. I just keep dickin' with it until it finally gets through the POST. Moving on now, yes I do have a screenshot for you but can't find a way to get it to you. (those damn newbies...) I'll try dragging it in to this message. If you don't have my private email, it's Back_In_Time@sprynet.com. - Thanks, Tripster "
