N68-VS3-FX and FX 6300

Hi, i have N68-VS3-FX motherboard i want to buy FX 6300 but this motherboard doesn't support fx 6300 in asrock's site and I talked asrock support they said doesn't support it.Many people uploaded this segment in youtube please help me will it go?

If ASRock says it won't work I would assume it would not work. That CPU is not a good performer by today's standards anyway. If you're trying to keep ddr3 ram in a current system, you'd be better off to find someone online selling an old board with an i5 or i7. Maybe like an i7 3770 for example, or 3570k, those would perform better for games etc than the FX 6300.

Agreed, if the FX-6300 is an upgrade for you, it's not worth it to invest any more into that platform at all. Even if it worked on your MB, it would be very little bang for the buck.

A more modern overall platform is the way to go.

According to their site, it does not look like it supports any FX CPUs at all.

Maybe you found a different site then. It says it does not support it. Guess the only way to know would be to try. It says it does support some old phenom 2 6 cores. Might look into those.

While I am in agreement with you, the op appears set on this course. Why I suggested something that at least showed supported. But the op would be better off with an older i5 or i7 even.
