If ASRock says it won't work I would assume it would not work. That CPU is not a good performer by today's standards anyway. If you're trying to keep ddr3 ram in a current system, you'd be better off to find someone online selling an old board with an i5 or i7. Maybe like an i7 3770 for example, or 3570k, those would perform better for games etc than the FX 6300.
