Hi guys,

I'm looking to get a NAS for home use, i've been looking at a few reviews but its been very confusing.

im willing to spend up to £200.

I was looking at the WD my Book live 3tb, but then i realised that it wouldn't be very good if the HD failed i would lose all my data.

Is there anything you can recommend as alternative?

thank you

We love the ReadyNAS Ultra2's but understand the price issue.

DLink is less money (the old DNS-323 was a great unit and can probably still find some http://networkstoragetips.com/dlink-dns-323-review/)

Synology is also less expensive and many people have been quite happy.

You are quite wise to consider the ramifications of the HD failing. So many people downplay or ignore that very real risk.

Best,
Roger
