We are located in India and for our company looking for a suitable NAS infrastructure for efficiently managing of documents . The business scenario and our expectation from NAS infrastructure are as below :
a) Scenario
We are in custom manufacturing of Industrial Machine and for each customer order there is a long trail of documents which are required to be managed over the complete order cycle . As an example , there is a customer order “ORDER-1” , so we create a folder “ORDER-1” and it has following sub-folder under it :
• Design
• Quality
• Marketing
Say person assigned to ORDER-1 Design , are ID1 and ID2 and person assigned to ORDER-1 Quality , are ID3/ID7/ID8 and person assigned to ORDER-1 Marketing , are ID4
Like the above example , folders are created and managed .
2) Expectation / Requirement
Only assigned person , can create / update document in the respective folder .
In case of any new document upload/change , the notification need to be sent to assigned persons of the folder . The notification brief about the uploaded document and the folder .
3) Kindly let us know , if it is technically possible to meet these requirement in NAS server .
