Good Morning Guys

Want your input and advice on the following.

Client asked me to setup and quote him on both service and products for a SOHO NAS solution. Haven't really played with NAS systems yet.

Requirement is as follow:
* Document share and storage.
* No need for more than 1TB.
* Local access and remote access and via cellphone app(if possible).
* 3 employees.
* Access via wireless and wired.

So I was thinking the following:
ASUS RT-AC53 x1
WD Blue 1TB SATA 6Gb/s Internal 3.5" Hard Drive x2
WD My Cloud EX2 Ultra 0GB Gigabit Ethernet External NAS Hard Drive x1

Would this be a good solution for the above?
What would you guys suggest.

Never done such a small solution. Good recurring client.

Your solution has no local redundancy.

I would suggest go with a Synology NAS configured in RAID 1. Setup up a Synology DDNS account and then VPN into the box.

(Make sure your client uses no software packages that have to be shared on Windows. Sometimes they will only tell about some obscure package (written in 2001...) that is "vital" you after everything has been setup.)

I would love to use Synology but it's so damn scarce in South Africa if not always out of stock. No software nothing. It's a new startup company. Everything will be new. They just require document storage.

WD I know due to a few of my colleagues recommended it and they are pretty good if I'm not mistaken. As a backup, what would you recommend? They prefer not to have DDNS/Port forwarding. Thus the reason why I chose the WD with cloud functionality that can be accessed from anywhere and even mobile.

They gave me a R8000 budget to work with.
