Does that mean we can also destroy a settlement by diverting meteorites into their settlement?

What will be the PVP component to this game?

[citation][nom]marraco[/nom]Soil particles removed by wheels are wrongly rendered. They should move faster (no air resistence), and contrails should being wider, because of the lower gravity.[/citation]
Are you taking into account that this is all done in a studio in Hollywood and not on the moon? /sarc

Well I guess if you want PVP, you could yank the air tubes on the suit.

If they somehow made it like a Sim City type deal it just might actually work for them,in regards to getting the young interested, but then again the above video is the only thing I have seen of this so called MMO. I have to agree with some of the previous post in regards to government and military trying to make FPS, MMO's or what have you, it does feel a little propagandish.

[citation][nom]geossj5[/nom]lolll exactly what i was thinking but really its a game by NASA the quests will most likely revolve around collecting rock samples[/citation]

It should fit right into the MMO genre of clicking mindlessly till your finger bleeds quite nicely then.

I wonder if they are going to include the part where they ship the US astronauts over to Russia to launch them into space? The music should be Russian themed, especially if this game is supposed to be some sort of a simulation.

[citation][nom]asjflask[/nom]Obama has exceeded the debt by Bush. Idiots.[/citation]

Most presidents exceeds the debts of the previous president, due to interest.

[citation][nom]regulas[/nom]NASA used to be the worlds leader in space exploration and now it is a joke. Their #1 priority under the Obama regime is not space but to reach out to Muslims. I have to ask a common sense question when I read about this, WTF does that have to do with space exploration but what do you expect from the worst president in US history.[/citation]
I wish I had more thumbs to turn down at you. Sorry for feeding the trolls, but it needed to be said.

[citation][nom]sirmorluk[/nom]Actually to be fair the 3 largest single day increases are Obama's. And 6 of the top 10 single day debt increases have occurred in the past 2 years under both Obama and Bush."Daily debt calculations jump and fall, and big shifts are common. But all three of the biggest one-day debt increases have occurred under the tenure of President Obama, and all of the top six have been in the past two years - an indication of just how quickly the pace of deficit spending has risen under Mr. Obama and President George W. Bush." Citation-todays copy of the Washington Post.[/citation]

Opps sorry I should have checked the facts first. Over heard it on a radio show and most likely got it back wards.

[citation][nom]gzhang[/nom] NASA has became bloated and inefficient. They use out of date computer languages that have no chance of drawing young able software engineers.[/citation]

Right...you have no clue what you are talking. I'm not even american, but I do know NASA uses mostly Java for programming and C for flight control software. Btw, there is still no language than can be compared to C when you need real time systems, period.

Im not playing it unless i get to conquer the moon men with my trusty M4 Assault rifle!

+1

Hey if I was still 12-13 this would be the best thing in the world to come out. I loved stuff like this, even "Big Business Tycoon 2."
Who knows it might be decent for kids.

LOL they have to do something to prop-up the lost age of space travel canceled by previous presidents.

How else will they get competent intelligent capable people into NASA.

Foreign nerds come to study in the USA, then run away the first time they are released from the USA and never return.
Not all the money in the world or threats to foreigners family's can keep those nerds here.

Maybe NASA needs to fake another moon landing or something like a alien does not exist enemy excuse for new funding to waist us$ billions instead of Virgin space plane $10Milj.per plane / us$1 billion shuttle chewing gum fix.

I was thinking Star Trek-liked missions. Well, I guess one has to pass the tasks that NASA set in order to be a Star Fleet cadet.
