Navigation pane not displaying folders when saving

Hi,

I'm just going to get right into it. I recently changed settings, turned off some services and disabled some Windows features and now when I try to save something from the web my navigation pane will not show any folders. I've attached an image to show an example. Does anyone know what service or Windows feature I need to turn back on?

Try clicking on Organize, then click on Layout and then make sure that Navigation Pane is on (there should be a check beside it).

Well, I ran /sfc scannow and it found some corrupted file and repaired it. I can't recall what it repaired as I was kind of in a rush.


After looking at the CBS log: it repaired a few things, uxtheme, themeui, explorerframe, themeservice, explorer.exe, wordpad.exe and ie9props?

All but 2 were actually not corrupted but modded. (As you can tell from my first Screenshot, I have a custom theme) wordpad.exe was actually a bot I renamed as to not get detected. *cough* moving along....

explorer.exe and ie9props were corrupted and the repair fixed the problem.

also, this thread can be resolved. Dunno how to choose myself as the solution though.

I have the same problem...
no Navigation pane in save as dialog box in any software weather it is word,paint, notepad etc.
i have tried everthing on google...
but the solution is so simple...
just bring the mouse pointer above the file name box and drag it to bottom...
its done friends...
it is so simple...
no corrupted system file is there...
its hidden by mistake or some child may have did it ...
try this...
your problem will definitely get solved
