Navigation to the webpage was canceled

Hi everyone,

Been struggling with this for a while and have search around and found threads and solutions about this error however none have worked. The problem I have occurs when trying to display a help file across a network and I've found a couple of solutions that involved unblocking certain settings and going to the regedit to change permissions. These solutions worked to a certain extent as I’m now able to view the help file by opening it up manually but I am still not able to view the help file through the software the file belongs to as the same message keeps displaying ‘Navigation to the webpage was cancelled’

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

The webmaster of that site does not want you accessing that file; maybe you do not have permission to do so.

I'm a bit unsure what this means though. If the webmaster has blocked me from accessing the file then how come it opens and displays correctly when opening it up through folder. Does that not mean I have permission to view it ? As I'm able to navigate it without any problems. It's just when I try and view it through the software that causes the problem.

Try running using Admin rights. Sometimes when help becomes too technical the webmaster does not want the average user to access it.
