Example of crash:
Even though i think i have a alright enough graphics card to run these games when i play on optimized graphics it crashes at random times also christiaan lourens the .exe has stopped working that happens to most of these games. For max payne 3 the sound still works and the others (game).exe has stopped working. Games like arma 2 CO or dishonored they work fine. Thank you both juanjostorreshernndez and Christiaan Lourens. I am

What i have done so Far:

*checked diagnostic tool all is fine
*no updates for windows maintenance
*i have also found out that my computer was 32 bit and i have downloaded things by 64bit do you think that might be a problem?? if so please reply
*it might be hard for me to make the money to upgrade my graphics card but ill get it eventually.

Thanks if you are reading and tring to help or have a relation to the problem

Run dx diagnostic, update all your software.

What are the crashes? xxx has stopped working? The game exe just stops and your back on the desktop? We need more info on the problems it self. My suggestion for BF3 is go to the support site and check troubleshooting there, they have tons of sollutions really helped me out allot. It's a folder inside your bf3 folder that you just delete, coupled with tuning cloud storage/saving off and then bam it doesn't crash anymore. Can't remember the exact stuff but look for that sollution. I have not played BF3 in months so I can't be more exact.

Have you installed any mods recently ?

I use a program called asrock extreme tuning utility you can overclock and control the fans maybe i put it on the wrong settings also it ussually dosent crash on lower settings just high or optimized. I know my graphics card is supposed to handle optimized for those games
Asrock:

search

nah i didnt mean that it was laggy when i optimized its great still but it crashed after few minutes after i disabled those settings.

For some reason I think it has something to do with your RAM, I had a similar problem a while ago with ram sticks and I had a memory leakage. I can't exactly remember how to fix it in control panel though so what I suggest is this:

Start MSCONFIG and then go to the general tab and select normal start up it will ask you to restart, click ok. Try playing 1 game now, this should have only the necessary programs running and then we can determine if it's one of your other programs that's causing this error.

Right click the .exe icon and troubleshoot directly after it crashed, use those settings, see if it still crashes.

Finally I would really go as far as saying rather reinstall all your games that are crashing before you upgrade as they might have even been corrupted.

for a cheap upgrade if you have room just increase your ram to 8GB, as RAM is cheap and the extra memory will assist you greatly in general processing. Other than that don't spend money just yet because as I said I myself have a 660TI PE & I am waiting for the 880's to be released next year, you should wait for those too because then you are pretty much future proof :D

im about to do what you said i checked my ram and if you wanted to know it was 16gb i am doing normal startup and will report back if it has helped.I am also downloading my drivers in 32bit becoz i had downloaded in 64bit i will hopefully not crash when playing bf4 but if i do and it dosent crash for other games its because of the beta.

i dont think i have a memory leak becoz the program that is using the most memory is Google chrome and 2nd is Skype it comes up when i go to start task manager>processes then the highest memory are those 2
