Need a AMD Gpu for Gaming, Hashing, etc... R9-295x2, (2x) r9 290/x, R9-280 for Xfire?

My current system is down below: ---v
I am a avid gamer who likes to do many other things besides gaming with my system. Anyway I'm getting into password cracking n stuff of the sort (for the 2nd time) and I would like to have much shorter waiting times so I can be able to do other stuff with my computer.
EDIT: Not breaking into stuff that my family doesn't own. Im also into www.hackthissite.org its pretty cool.

Basically I have a 7950 vapor-x in my system that is able to hash nicely, but I would like more computer so there are my options:
1. Get another 7950 or a r9-280 (same thing) for XFire (cheapest) (self funded)
2. Get a r9-290/x and maybe XFire? (harder option) (get grandpa to buy)
3. Get a quieter r9 295x2 (hardest option) (get grandpa to buy)

I am not doing this as a profession as I am still in high school, but I am an enthusiast.

P.S. I got $1,000.00 (not for gpu) for Xmas to invest in something I was thinking a BTC miner, but they are risky. If you have any ideas let me know.

Password cracking, as in hacking? lol, but with $1000, you should get the 295x2, it is the best card you can get :) I have 2 of them and they work very well with the new Omega driver, also it takes less space since it is 2 cards in 1 and it is much cooler than the average GPUs.

Spot-on Lone but it's legal. Anyway its kinda a side hobby I guess.

The only problem with the r9 295x2 is that it would take a lot to convince my grandpa to fund it lol. I will try though. Also I dont have the $1000 to throw into a gpu, I got it to make more money.

EDIT: Would I need a bigger PSU?

Hacking is legal? That's interesting, lol. The XFX 295x2 should be around $750 I think, others are $1000. But if you can't, I suppose a 290 or 290x would be fine, and why did you choose AMD cards only by the way? What about Nvidia's gtx 970 or something? It's like $330.

I was really into crypto mining then I was picking my parts for my rig and in the world of crypto amd/ati cards are better at hashing because of more processors over fewer more powerful ones like what nvidia has. I figured since crypto mining is doing the same thing as password cracking I would get more preformance for my money than what I would get with Nvidia. Thats how I ended up with the 7950 over the 660 ti.
As for the hacking check out hackthissite.org my dad got me into it recently and a few of the things require password cracking which I was really into last year for no apparent reason. Im just doing it for fun and to take over my router yet again for no reason other than my dad locking it.

Ah, okay, well, the 295x2 is the most power card right now if you can get it. If not, then 290x will still do very nicely since it is pretty much 1/2 of the 295x2. So if you can get the 295x2, you'll have all the power you'll need for whatever :)

Ok is there any difference between the different versions of the r9 295x2's besides the manufacturer logo? Vram doesn't matter. Also will my corsair cx750m 750W bronze+ PSU be enough for the r9 295x2?

BTW. You have a awesome setup! What was the cost?

Try some of the basic missions on hackthissite.org they are pretty easy to grasp if you know basic basic html or how to right click on a web page on chrome and select inspect element.

Click on the trianles on the left side to show more. The password of the basic 1 mission is in plain text in there. For the other ones lookup basic html you can pick up the just of the language in 10mins or less.

No problem. Its pretty cool. They get pretty card after awhile though. If you are stuck on one dont be afraid to look up the answer as long as you learn from what they did in the the answer you followed.
