My specs :
Intel i5-3470
8gb ddr3 ram
gigabyte h61m-s mother board
Sapphire nitro+ rx580 8gb
WD 500GB HDD
WD 120GB SSD
Cooler master MWE 550 w PSU

I'm planning to buy a new processor as my current cpu bottlenecks my GPU{rx580}
I am very tight on budget as I'm just a student which is completely dependent on parents

My budget is upto $225 USD . In respect to my motherboard , which processor should i buy?

here's a reference to my motherboard:https://www.gigabyte.com/in/Motherboard/GA-H61M-S-rev-10#ov

Solution
i7-3770 or 3770K are the best your board supports.

TBH, with a $250 budget (in the USA), you could replace your CPU (Ryzen 2600), RAM (2x8GB DDR4-3000), and mobo (B450). That's a better use of your $$
Unless you want to buy a used i7 for cheap from ebay or wherever, you'd be better off with a new board, CPU and memory. Your bottleneck is not really bad compared to some, but does slow performance a bit.

The reply above from tennis2 shows good value to performance ratio. If you can afford to spend a bit more, a Ryzen 5 3600 would be even better.

well if i switch to ryzen 3600 , i would have to change my motherboard and ram , so im looking for a processor which can support them both , and would not bottleneck my 580

If you go this route, the 3770 will probably be a better deal (I got one a month ago for $50) whereas the 3770K commands a premium since its fully unlocked (overclockable). However, since you have an H61 mobo, you won't be able to OC the CPU anyway.
I wouldn't pay more than $80 for a 3770K.

Brand new items within your budget on Amazon
Ryzen 5 1600 with cooler = $85
Asrock b450M - HDV = $59.99
16gb (2 x 8gb) Crucial Ballistix 3000mhz = $71.50
= $216.50

Took about 5 minutes to find that, if you are open to second hand items I'd say maybe if someone is selling a bundle you could get those items for under $150.

Well Thanks For Advice , Can you tell me where you got the deal for 3770 for $50?
I think If I can Get it for $50 then 3370 it is

Not seeing the 3770k for that price. Looks like the normal 3770 can be had on ebay for about 70-75. So you may go that route. But honestly, I would recommend Ryzen if you have 250. It will get you a little better performance now, and will get you onto a newer platform with more upgrade options in the next couple of years.

Alternatively, spend as little as possible for the 3770, maybe sell the 580 and use proceeds from that and your other 200 and pick up a 1660 super or something along those lines to max out the current system.

Honestly any of those options would be a marginal upgrade for gaming. First, how are you sure your CPU is bottlenecking you?

But yeah, you could get a 3770 or 3770k for an easier and cheaper upgrade. The higher speeds and extra multithreading may help a bit in some games.

Otherwise a Ryzen 2600 may be your next best option but again, pretty marginal gaming upgrade. Although, that system would let you perform more significant upgrades in the future.

Also keep in mind that whatever you upgrade, you can sell the old parts as well. Those parts aren't super high-end or in demand, but you could probably get $25 for CPU, $20 for RAM and around $40 for the motherboard if you did upgrade platforms.

FYI, 3770k's can run around $100, up to $130 or so if complete with fan in good shape.
