Hello, thanks for visiting my thread. i am looking for a build for ~$1600 including monitor/mouse/keyboard/speakers etc. its going to be mostly used for gaming. only preference i have is for the gpu to be a gtx 670 and the option to run sli later on the mobo and psu. All suggestion appreciated!
Thank you!

oks this is the build i have without a mouse because ill get $40 in gift cards to newegg so ill put that towards a mouse. I have to still look for cheaper prices but i just want to make sure that the components are good.

CPU Cooler: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO = $34.99

*Change the motherboard to Asus Extrme 4 or Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H, they are better according to Tom's

*There is no point in getting a noisy HDD when you've got a SSD, buy a Samsung SpinPoint F3 instead of Caviar Black

*EVGA uses reference cooling for their GPUs so switch it to a Gigabyte GV-N670WF2-2GD, Gigabyte GV-N670OC-2GD or Asus GTX670-DC2-2GD5

*Do NOT buy roselwill's PSUs, they have a high failure rate and you do not need 850w, the PSU i linked (this one) is a lot better and has higher manufactuiring quality (PC Power & Cooling manufactures a lot of Cosair's and XFX's PSUs)

Edit: this psu ---> http://pcpartpicker.com/part/pc-power--cooling-power-supply-ppcmk2s950 is a lot better than the one you picked and the one i recomended, if you have the extra cash buy it.

*Read your messages. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/forum1.php?config=tomshardwareus.inc&cat=prive&page=1 i sent you something that you will find very usefull

Congrats ! You just managed to pay more for less. :) I had you in a 240GB SSD along with an XFX modular psu. Now you have a 128GB SSD that's going to fill up fast, a case with zero front airflow/ventilation, a monitor with no LED, and a psu that I wouldn't use if it was given to me as a gift. And not once did you use a Newegg combo or look at the links to Amazon to save $$.

XFX psu's are made exclusively by Seasonic to my knowledge although PC Power & Cooling does make rock solid psu's. And Tom's has never done a review on that Asus Z77 Lk although the Asrock board is a good one, both the Asus Lk and Asrock boards are decent.

:heink: Say what ?!? No PC Power & Cooling does not manufacture any of XFX PSU only seasonic does and they don't manufacture Cosair's either where did you learn all this false information anyway let me school you real quick so you know for the future what your talking about 😉
Corsair is a well known supplier of PSU's with top notch ratings with good value. The models made by Seasonic tend to be the quietest. The new AX series is the newest and best. Surprisingly even the CWT models are well reviewed although most are discontinued.

One of my personal favorites because of the aesthetics, all XFX power supplies are made by Seasonic and all highly rated as well.

Black Edition – Seasonic
Core Edition – Seasonic
XXX Edition – Seasonic
*note-PC Power & Cooling is owned by OCZ
PC Power & Cooling has very highly reviewed power supplies and are easily recommendable.

Silencer – Seasonic
Silencer MK II – Sirtec
Turbo Cool – Wintact

Well i am very sorry for not spending my time researching about wich company manufacturers PSU for other companies, i am just saying what i heard, anyways, PC power & Cooling makes kick ass PSUs

No need to be sorry just need to take a interest in the info you provide people asking for help because they depend on you and yes they do provide kick ass solid PSU and imo very decently and fairly priced :)
