need a compatible graphic card in dimensions of card

hello, i have core 2 duo e6300 1.8ghz 4gb ram . my motherboard has PCI Express x16 2.0 slot . i want to but gtx 480 . will this card fit in my pci slot . if this card cannot fit in then what card can fit in with good performance please tell me . my problem is with widths of cards (dual slot) which cannot fit in my pci slot .lengths and heights are okay !

i dont know very much about graphic cards types or variety or single slot or dual slot

plzzz correct me if i am wrong about my computer or my thinking in graphic cards

Why not ? as long as your motherboard support PCI-E x16 lanes, you can add gpu on it. But im not sure about your cpu, i think you have to upgrade all of your components because a possibilty of bottlenecking.

but i doubt about the width of gtx 480 because i dont think i have that much space to fit in it . i am not sure about this maybe i am wrong plzz check about widths on internet and give me suggestion of cards of nvidia geforce quadro or gt . i want these types of cards in my computer

i just forgot something to tell you that my last graphic card was nvidia quadro fx 3700 . i removed that card because its display was completely destroyed . check its length and width and compare it with gtx 480 dimensions
