Question Need a fix asap

I recently found an older monitor the Acer GN246HL but whenever I plug it in or even turn it on my internet speeds start to slow down and I receive around 100+ ping difference in games and web browsing slows down extremely too. if anyone has any fixes for this please let me know ASAP

What GPU are you using? What other displays are attached? I assume more than one.

I am using a Dual link DVI-D cable for it since it's an older monitor

I have a GTX 960 and an I5-4460

the only other monitor is a Philips FTV 60 hz because that was the only monitor I had left to use which is plugged in with a HDMI

You are asking a lot from a weak GPU, to push that many pixels across two displays. It would likely struggle with Acer because of its high refresh rate.

I use them both on 60hz and 720p resolution and it still causes internet issues. even when only the acer is plugged in on 60hz and 720p.

exactly the same as it does with a DVI anything internet wise just slows down I still get the same fps in games only the ping gets bad

Yeah it only does it with the Acer monitor even if it's the only display attached

type of cable your using for internet/ is there more then 1.
router your using ? could be a limitation of the router ( spoiler there made like garbage).

How are you connecting to your router? If it’s wifi then perhaps it could be RF interference from a badly shielded cable or the monitor itself.

Im using an ethernet from downstairs I'm not sure if that would cause any problems

if your using a standard ethernet cable you need a cat 8 with or higher the longer your distance from the router also standard cables have no shielding.

My pc is across the desk from my monitor and the ethernet cable is pointing the opposite way of the monitor

Was wondering in regard to the possible RFI/EMI issue mentioned earlier. Do you have access to any other PC that you could test the Acer display with?
