need a good printer

i am getting a new system and am buying a printer separatly.
i don't think i need to tell you the system specs to get a printer but it is over $3000CAD

I'm looking for an all in one or multi function printer with the best printable image possible.

I have an old lexmark 3200 with 1200 x 1200dpi and have noticed that many of the new printers have only 2400 x 1200dpi or as high as 9600 x 1200dpi and am wondering why one number is so large.

i'm not looking for a photo printer or a high speed printer just good quality injet

even if it has just one printer function but has high quality prints please recommend it

I've used a variety of printers over the years, and, just about any Lexmark, Cannon, HP, etc,. printer costing $60-$100 on sale ought to fill the bill. (Where they ream you is purchasing replacement ink cartridges anyway, which quickly can equal the cost of the printer, so look for a model that includes several!)

if you are going to be doing a lot of printing especialy photos.....get a canon...otherwise the price of ink will send you to the poor house....epson is not too bad either....stay away from HP and lexmark expensive ink.
