Need a GPU upgrade !!!!

I will be upgrading my r9 280x gpu soon.

I have been looking at GTX 1060 and the GTX 1070.

I like both cards though for the price i feel the 1060 is more suited for me as i only need it for 1080p gaming at 60 Hz. I was also thinking about trying VR in the future.

So is it worth spending the extra money for the 1070 ?

GTX1060 is just one tier higher than R9-280X on tom's gpu hierarchy chart.

They recommend at least a 3 tier upgrane or you may be disappointed if youy do not see big results.

Look to your Hardware. I suggest you to buy the 1070 if you are fully compatible, but if you are not sure or you just want to play casual gaming at 60Hz i suggest you the 1060.
