Question Need a Intel® Wireless-AC 9462 driver or alternate

I have a MSI MPG Z390M Gaming Edge AC mobo with Intel® Wireless-AC 9462. I am trying to go back to Windows 8.1 but I can't find drivers for Intel® Wireless-AC 9462 anywhere.

I don't care if I get the correct drivers I just need drivers that work lol

Any help appreciated please

Why Windows 8.1? What do you hope to achieve by going backward?

Sorry I'm a bit late but have been very busy. I have reinstalled 8.1 and everything works perfect except for that driver, the one yoou suggested installs but doesn't work.

I would suggest that you upgrade to Windows 10. You'll have better driver support and a more secure operating system.

Many times a windows 10 driver will work but in this case I suspect it is a bit more complex.

That card is one of those strange ones that only works with certain newer intel chipset. Part of the wifi function is in the CPU/chipset. This is pretty new stuff so I am not sure if it is just a simple driver to make it work. Most other wifi nic cards use the more common interface and there is more generic support since it can run in amd or other android based platforms. These sepecial wiif cards only work on intel machines and only the more modern ones also.
