need a little help with networking my xbox

i just re-formatted my computer with windows 2000 pro and im having
problems setting up my xbox to recieve a shared connection, i have my
xbox pluged into the nic port on the back of my computer and the
computer is recieving wireless internet via usb, but i cant figure out
how to make a new connction for the xbox to recieve a connection.

can someone helo me out or point me to a website? thanks.

My brother had the same problem the other day. Turned out all he needed to
do was to go into the wireless properties and tick the box for share this
connection. He is using XP, 2000 may be different.

I don't think Win2000 comes with internet connection sharing (ICS) like XP
does. If that is indeed the case, you'll need to get a 3rd party program
to do this (most are free for 1 device)

Otherwise, do you have the NIC configured within Win2k? It'll need its
own valid settings to be able to talk to the XBox. This includes IP#,
gateway, and network mask.
