[SOLVED] need a new gpu for my i7 3770k

new to gaming and my current set up is an gtx 670, i7 3770k, maximus v gene, 16gb ram, silverstone 750watts power supply. need a good graphics card to play modern warfare on good settings, any recommendations help, thanks guys.

2060 super would be a good pair or even a 2070 super. if you like more AMD then 5700/5700XT would be a good fit. A very important thing it is the resolution at which you play, please provide a list of all your specs and we decide after what is best for you. Also 600W PSU is not enought, please specify brand and model because if it is a chinesse knock-off then you need to upgrade the psu too.

At $400 a 5700xt would get you very good 1440p perormance. They are commonly on sale now.

The 2060 super is also a good choice but slightly slower. It's ray tracing however is pretty weak and useless for only a very small handful of simple games. But it is there.

apologies. it has a silverstone 750w and i just have a 60hz 1080p samsung monitor which i also look at upgrading

Isn't a bad idea to buy a GTX1660Ti and a cheap 144hz monitor? You could wait to buy the monitor by getting a better GPU, as others said, RTX 2070s or the RX5700XT would fit to your budget and give you a very nice performance in most games at 1080p.

With a $400 AUD (I am assuming you are talking about Australian dollars and now US dollars) the fastest GPU you can get is a 1660 Super. To go to a RX 5700 it would up the cost to $549 and the RX 5700XT would be $599.

The 5700xt and 2060S cost $600 plus is Australia.

In Australia the 1660 super or 1660Ti is the best you'll find for ~$400.

You should be able to run a 1660 Super without issues.

That's a Vega 56 (if you can find one) or a 1660 Super or 1660 ti

Of the three, I would lean towards the Vega 56 if you don't mind tweaking. You'll get more out of the Vega 56.

They all should be good for moderate to high frame rate 1080p gaming. Reasonable 1440p might be possible with some settings dialed back. I would not go high detail on 1440p due to NVIDIA's 6GB memory.

The 5600XT is also coming up soon. That card should be a match for the 1660ti @ ~$270 USD. AMD has a history of slightly undercutting NVIDIA on the Price : Performance scale.
