I'm looking for a cheap, budget laptop to edit videos on that can get 1080p quality. This is going to be my first laptop, so i really don't know whats good or bad. Any recommendations would be great. Thanks!

The following HP laptop for £499.00 seems like the cheapest laptop that best suits your needs. It has quad core i5-8250u ULV (ultra low voltage) CPU and a 1080p screen. It has a 1TB hard drive and looking at some specs, it has an empty M.2 slot for you to install a SSD which you can buy now or later; see additional link.

You want a quad core laptop because editing videos is pretty CPU demanding. However, the i5-8250u is not the best quad core CPU because it is a ULV CPU which means instead being able to reach near it's max clockspeed of 3.4GHz, it will instead max out at around 2.5GHz or 2.6GHz under sustained CPU load to keep the heat down. You need a laptop with an i5-8300H that can sustain clockspeeds near it's max speed. The following Dell G3 laptop seems to be the least expensive laptop at £699.99 which has the i5-8300H, it also has a GTX 1050 for games.
